Jerome Barberin

Jerome is the foster father of Remy, who calls him "Father Barberin." His true daughter is Nana. One day, while returning from work during a cold winter in Paris, he found Remy abandoned as a baby in an alleyway. Aware that Baby Remy belongs to a rich family, he searched for the baby's real family, hoping that he would be given a reward. Jerome failed to find Remy's true family. Because of this, he brought Baby Remy with him when he returned home to Chavanon Village. Jerome commanded his wife, Anne to get rid of Remy and send her to a workplace. Then, he went back to Paris to work again. Ten years after finding Remy, Jerome went back to Chavanon Village because of a work injury that he received in Paris. When he found out that Remy was not sent to a workplace, he became very angry. Father Barberin sold Remy to an evil slave trader named Pollinel. Remy, after being sold to Pollinel, was quickly rescued by Vitalis and his animals.
