Inuhiko Saruwatari

The creator of Hyouka and a crazy lonely scientist. He looks kind of like a monkey and because of it people made fun of him and never treated him like a human. He is very sensitive to being treated like a monkey and only wants to be recognized as human. He eventually settled on a flying island and tried to make an artificial human that would obey his every command but all his experiments ended up as monkeys. The monkeys, who regarded Inuhiko as their God and King, knew he was lonely and kidnapped Yuuka so he could have a human friend. In the end, he realized the monkeys' feelings and accepted the fact that he was fine as a monkey before dying when his island crashed.
