Lascall Othello
A mythical being said to seek out girls at death's door and bring their books to their loved ones. He appears throughout the story to collect books (of both True Men of the Shindeki Church and Meats) using one of the seven war machines of the past, the Stone Sword of Spent Time Yor. Spoiler Lascall Othello is merely a physical shell. His true form is the Stone Sword Yor itself. Later on, it took on the form of a little girl and continued to extract books from prominent characters in each story arc. In the last arc, when Ruruta Coozancoona finally emerged to destroy the world and put everyone on earth in eternal sleep, it expressed sorrow at the prospect of this event coming to an uninteresting ending, and sacrificed itself to wake up Mirepoch.
