She takes her sketchbook everywhere with her in her ongoing attempts to capture the transitory in her art. Sora's heightened awareness of mono-no-aware also causes her to notice very small details of the world around her and makes her a "my-pace" kind of person. She loves all the cats in the neighborhood and has named them all. As the story begins, she is painfully, extremely shy -- to the point where even the most casual encounter with a stranger paralyzes her and loud voices can trigger her panic and flight.
