Ron Portman
A black man from Detroit. At first, he displayed a very fatalistic attitude, and was devastated by the realization that civilization had been all but destroyed. During his time away from the group, Ron appears to have changed his attitude regarding life and death, and decides that he prefers to fight to protect his own life and the lives of his fellow survivors as long as he can before they die. He carries Katherine as they flee, and protects her from falling debris despite knowing she likely has only minutes left to live before the Medusa virus kills her. (Source: Wikipedia)
