Kenji Makabe
Age: 31 Makabe Kenji, one of Mutta's fellow applicants in the astronaut program, resides with his wife whom he married after college and a beautiful daughter. Kenji met Mutta during the second exam interview conducted by JAXA, and they became good friends over time. Kenji's motivation to become an astronaut started when he wished to "escape from the little corner of a big facility." Kenji is an adventures person and wished to soar higher, and thus joined the astronaut recruitment program. He likes to have a single strand of his hair at the center of his forehead. Kenji has shown qualities such as being supportive, calm, dedicated, and caring. He has on many occasions cheered and encouraged Mutta. Spoiler He and his wife are expecting another baby.
