Mayumi Kurase

She is one of the sub character in the manga series. Though she is not a student from Tootsuki Culinary Academy, Mayumi plays a bigger role in Soma's life (not as a Tootsuki student) and one of Soma's prime supporter to his cooking, even some of his strange delicacy (such as Grilled Squid Tentacles Dressed in Peanut Butter) which is far from consumable. Because of her lack of courage and easily disoriented, Mayumi easily hesitate to express her feelings to Soma as she fear that Soma didn't understand her feeling well, that is until his return during the Summer Break that give her a second chance to give the impression towards Soma.
