Takafumi Sakagami

Takafumi is Tomoyo's younger brother. Just when Tomoyo's family is about to break apart, Takafumi attempted suicide in hope of reconciling the family. After he is hospitalized, Tomoyo's family reunite again for the sake of their family. He enters the same school as Tomoya one year later. He plays as a secondary character in Clannad's sequel Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life, often serving as comic relief. Spoiler In "Tomoyo After", it is revealed that he was once the star member of a track team, only leaving such a position after the death of his coach and mentor. He finally comes to terms with his inner demons with the help of his friend Okazaki Tomoya's sister, Sakagami Tomoyo, and ex-girlfriend Kanako. Finishing a marathon after the death of his coach and renewing his relationship with Kanako, he later is seen helping a little boy put on running shoes, implying that he followed in his coach's footsteps.
